I Am About To Step Into It
As we stand on the threshold of a new year, this message invites us into a powerful truth: God has already spoken blessing over our future before we even step into it. Drawing from Joshua 1:3-4, we discover that God told Joshua 'I have given you' in past tense while Joshua stood in his present, looking toward an uncertain future. This reveals something profound about God's nature—He doesn't wait for us to earn His favor or prove ourselves worthy. He blesses us first, then calls us to step into what He's already prepared. The wilderness seasons we've walked through weren't punishment but preparation, strengthening us for the promises ahead. God speaks to what we're becoming, not just where we are now. He called Gideon a 'mighty man of valor' while Gideon was hiding in fear, because God sees our future self. In 2026, we're not trying to convince God to bless us—we're simply being called to step forward with authority into what already belongs to us. The land is defined, the territory assigned, and the blessing spoken. Our only responsibility is to stop fumbling the ball, stop asking permission from those uncomfortable with our growth, and start walking with the confidence that comes from knowing God has already claimed this year for our good.
